This Privacy Policy explains how Splatterflow (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the dB Meter mobile application (the “App”). We have designed the App to respect your privacy: it works entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
The App uses your device’s microphone for one purpose: to measure ambient sound levels (decibels) in real
time. The audio signal is analyzed on your device as it is captured. The App does not record audio, does
not save audio files, and does not send any audio or microphone data off your device or to us or any third
party. iOS will ask for your permission before the App can access the microphone, and you can revoke that
permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location data, device identifiers for tracking, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. Because we do not collect personal information, we do not share or sell it.
Measurement sessions you choose to save, along with your app preferences (such as calibration offset, language, and appearance settings), are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and within your own iCloud device backups, if you have those enabled. We have no access to it. You can delete this data at any time by removing saved sessions in the App or by deleting the App.
The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (“Pro”) to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple, solely for distributing the App and processing in-app purchases.
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Because the App keeps your information on your own device and does not transmit it, your data benefits from the security protections built into iOS and your device passcode/biometric settings.
Since all of your data remains on your device and is never sent to us, you retain full control over it at all times. To erase it, delete saved sessions within the App or uninstall the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version of the App or on this page.
