Terms of Use

For the dB Meter iOS app · Effective date: June 24, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the dB Meter mobile application (the “App”) provided by Splatterflow (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the App or any part of it.

2. Measurement Disclaimer

The App provides sound level estimates for general and informational purposes only. Readings are produced using your device’s built-in microphone, which is not a calibrated measurement instrument, and accuracy varies by device, positioning, and environment. The App is not a substitute for a professional, calibrated sound level meter and must not be relied upon for occupational safety, hearing-protection, medical, legal, regulatory, or compliance decisions. Always consult a qualified professional and certified equipment where accurate or official measurements are required.

3. Purchases

The App is free to download. Optional “Pro” features are available as a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. All purchases are subject to the App Store terms and Apple’s billing, refund, and restore policies. We do not process or store your payment information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App lawfully and not to use it in any way that infringes the rights of others, violates applicable law, or interferes with the App’s normal operation.

5. No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its measurements will be accurate.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Splatterflow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App or its measurements.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
